Tangram-tastic

Maths Week 2021: Infants and first class exploring 2-D shapes and problem solving using tangrams. Lots of flipping and twisting of shapes to get the required outcome. Great work everyone!

Autumn Aistear

We’ve been exploring animals and mammals who hibernate during the winter months. Hedgehogs, bats, toads and bees all sleep soundly for winter. We discussed this during role play, while making some Play Doh hibernating animals and even a Notch Block bat reserve! Some very impressive engineering skills in the junior room!

Hot Air Ballooning

We have explored the theme of “transport” and decided that we would love to go for a hot air balloon ride! Every day during Aistear we took time to explore as many forms of transport as we could think of. Do you love our hot air balloons as much as we do?

Back to School

Junior infants, senior infants and first class settled right in to school. The first order of business was playing with the activities and resources in our classroom.

These activities promote gross and fine motor skill development, problem solving, communication, critical thinking and most of all are fun!
