Electricity in STEM!

Seniors were working hard getting bulbs to light, propellers to spin, buzzers to buzz and switches to switch!

We’ll make some cool STEM ‘design and make’ structures this year, using our electricity works!

On…
…and off!

We have a lovely display at school complete with reports on our investigations.

Our Japan Projects and Journey to Display

A scroll.
Miso Soup!
Delicate paper.
Painted eggs- similar to those she brought to school after we painted eggs in art.
The children explored the resources.
An unwound scroll with a carefully detailed illustration.
The children used Amanda’s rice paper and inks to create these amazing blossom trees.
Another view.
The details were carefully painted in.
Beautiful rice paper blossoms.
The superb work of the middle classes!

Seniors made Google Slide Shows of their projects; at the time of going to press, those submitted are superb too!

1916 – Displays of our Work

Seniors chose from a range of activities to complete various elements of this 1916 display.

We integrated our Visual Art work too, having studied Jack B Yeats earlier in the term and undertaking some work on Bachelor’s Walk, to give us a sense of building tensions in the years prior to 1916.

We studied the lives of particular children during the 1916 Rising. We used our chrome books, financed by our PA, to research children from our list.
