World War Two

We did some amazing work learning about the Second World War!

We explored the story Rosie Revere to inspired out STEM constructions.
We made constructions of items from war-times, ration books, our own choice of writing based on the war, and used the NATO alphabet.

The Weather!

We’ve been studying the weather lately in Errew.

We’ve been undertaking some science experiments to explore various elements.

Storm in a jar!

We used shaving foam and food colouring!

Air pressure! We placed rulers at the table’s edge and then dropped a rubber on them. They fell!
Who knew the rubber wouldn’t pop the ruler up, when the newspaper was smoothed on top of the table?! We did, we know the air has weight!

Preparing our posters!
And diorama work!

Some sketches of our research!

Embellished clouds!
Ta-da!
Pouring the glittery lake into place! Don’t miss out on the pitches…!
…or the sand!
A thoroughly comprehensive brainstorm, no hailstone unturned!
A Junior Cert Project!!!
Well done all!

Welcome Lambs!

Another Spring, another welcome!

Thank you, as always, to the local family who bring us some spring guests!

We have had ewes and little lambs to our school for some intense investigation, questioning and answering and exclaims of delight.

They love the bike rack!
