We’ve been studying The 1798 Revolution in school.
We have a special link to this period in history with Frenchill on our doorstep.
Here’s our first display.
We’ve been exploring Wolfe Tone and persuasive writing.
We’ve been exploring report writing from multiple perspectives.

We’ve also been exploring mirror and rotational symmetry and we’ll be looking at advertising in SPHE soon, with a brief dip this past week.
The children devised ‘logos’ for a fictional Wild Atlantic Way history stop! Have a look at their logos dotted on the display board- symbols, symmetry, colour and design create brilliant and clever logos capturing the essence of 1798!
We’re taking part in Marathon Kids, and hit for the roads in our beautiful surroundings for a short walk and brisk run back to school as we build up to our target.
We use our Chromebooks and Google Classroom grids to record our progress!

Please support – with an hour of your time or a contribution to the bucket – on Saturday, 22nd February.
This valuable fundraiser raises huge monies every year.
Contact the Parents’ Association if you’re willing to get involved, all help welcome.
Massive thanks to the PA for their hard work.

We also baked!

We have made choux pastry in school. A great process, and we’ve been studying France!
We made sugar syrup chocolate sauce and ate our goodies in school.
We had to share oven space, so where the finished product wasn’t up to our high standards, we were delighted with the flavours.
The junior room made perfect cupcakes!

And cards!

And a love bug!
