Away we went to the walls of the Community Centre to see what we could spy! We had finished our first studies on igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, and were out to see if we could find some fossils.
Many fairies were spotted, and a wonderful poem, and some fossils! Success!

Back at base camp, we made diagrams of our planet, the rock cycle and handed out some very cool rock samples for all to see in our room.
We also had a good discussion about the massive geode in the Rock Shop, it’s a hit for many! Thanks to AJ for the hot tip!

We went back across the road to the Community Centre, armed with some new data in our minds!
We had classification categories and were ready to dig and find!

Next, our posters! Stand by for our display! We had to stop today, to have our evening play in the sun!

The marble came from a cave in Spain!

To finish…
We had some volcanic eruptions and made some plasticine planets!
