Capsizing Origami Boats!!!

Capacity, fair testing and STEM!

Seniors made origami boats and tested their worth today!

Using measuring cups, the children poured precise measures into their vessels!
We kept a count of all the millilitres we poured.
The boats and a gentle hand stayed the same, but the amount of water we poured in changed- the basis of fair testing.
Most boats were sea-worthy! Their design meant they displaced their weight quite well on the seas!

Some adjustments at sea!
We have one or two additional designs. These were lovingly crafted with reinforcement materials- sellotape!
